Physical and chemical properties:

Colorless monoclinic crystals. It loses crystal water at 130°C. It is soluble in 2.6 parts of water and almost insoluble in ethanol. The aqueous solution is neutral. The relative density is 2.06. The melting point is 859°C. The median lethal dose (mice, oral) is 1190mG/kG.

There are three crystal forms of α, β and γ. α type is white monoclinic crystal, β type is hexagonal crystal, and γ type is cubic crystal. It is hygroscopic. Lithium sulfate monohydrate crystallized from concentrated aqueous solution is very stable.

resolve resolution:

1. Lithium carbonate method: Put the lithium carbonate solution into the reactor, slowly add sulfuric acid under stirring to react, concentrate by evaporation, cool and crystallize, centrifuge to obtain lithium sulfate monohydrate, and then dry to obtain lithium sulfate. The reaction equation is:

Li2CO3+ H2SO4→ Li2SO4+ H2O + CO2↑

2. Slowly add dilute sulfuric acid to the suspension of lithium carbonate under constant stirring, taking care to prevent the reactant from overflowing due to excessive acid addition and excessive reaction. The reaction is carried out until all the suspended matter is dissolved, and an aqueous solution of lithium sulfate can be obtained. Evaporative concentration can crystallize lithium sulfate monohydrate from the aqueous solution. Put lithium sulfate monohydrate in an oven and heat to 120°C for dehydration to obtain anhydrous salt.

use:

1. Used as a raw material for special high-strength glass;

2. Used as analytical reagents and also in the pharmaceutical industry;

3. Flavoring agent for the production of food and synthetic beverages.

Storage method:

Store in a ventilated and dry warehouse to prevent moisture.
